Wow, it has been a whirlwind of a month! The leaves are finally beginning to fall and the summer smells are beginning to fade as we are preparing for our final retreats of the year. Join us for our Fall Scrapbooking and Crafts Retreats on November 3-5 and 17-19. The closing of the Main Camp Kitchen is coming up quick, and we will certainly be looking for extra help during the first few months of next year to help out with the kitchen and dining hall renovations. Contact us at 620-297-3290 or firstname.lastname@example.org if you want to help out!
In September, we had our Mental Health Spiritual Retreat and the start to Work and Play camp. October 1 was our Annual meeting, with a wonderful turn out of about 65 folks – thank you for joining us! During the meeting, we heard stories of camp impacting the lives of youth and adults alike. We recognized three incoming board members, three outgoing members, Jim Yoder for his dedication to building new houses on this rock, and Kelly Stucky for his innumerable years and gifts as Senior High Program Director. There was laughing, and crying too, and most definitely the presence of God among us as we said thank you for another great year! Work and Play camp begin with a small number, but we got plenty crossed of our list. A huge thank you goes out to our dedicated Work and Play folks! The remainder of October has included preparations for the winter, retreat weekends, and a trip to Bethel College for Fall Fest.
